Crochet Spooky Ghost Pattern



Okay, so he's really not very spooky, but he is cute!
 Materials Needed:
 4-ply or worsted weight yarn in the colors white and black
 F (3.75mm) Crochet Hook
10mm Safety eyes
 Stuffing
Yarn needle
Abbreviations:
St(s) – Stitch(es)
Ch – chain
Ss – slip stitch
Sc – single crochet
Hdc – Half double crochet
Dc – double crochet
Trc – Triple crochet

With white, Chain 2.
Round 1: 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Round 2: 2 sc in each st. (12 sts)
Round 3: *1 sc in next st, 2 sc in next st. Repeat from * around. (18 sts)
Round 4: *1 sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st. Repeat from * around. (24 sts)
Round 5: *1 sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st. Repeat from * around. (30 sts)
Rounds 6-19: 1 sc in each st around.
Insert Safety eyes between rounds 9 and 10 and embroider mouth with black yarn.

Round 20: In front loops only, [(hdc, dc) in first st, (dc, trc) in next st, (trc, dc) in next st, (dc, hdc) in next st, and ss in next st] around.
When you finish the shells, start right into the inside loops of Round 20 and single crochet into each of the inside loops. (30 sts)
Round 21: *Sc in next 3 sts, dec across next 2 sts. Repeat from * around. (24 sts)


Round 22: *Sc in next 2 sts, dec across next 2 sts. Repeat from * around. (18 sts)
Round 23: *Sc in next st, dec across next 2 sts. Repeat from * around. (12 sts)
Round 24: *Dec across next 2 sts. Repeat from * around. (6 sts)
Round 25: Finish off, sew in ends.

The bottom of the ghost should look something like this when you are finished.
